The God of Kom

This film is about the spiritual and emotional relationship that exists between people and some important objects and artifacts in their communities. This is the story of a statue, Afo Akom, carved in 1865 and kept as a statue in the Laikom palace. Afo a Kom was stolen in 1966 by a prince in laikom and sold to an American art collector.

This film recalls the journey of this iconic piece of Art from museums in the Us back home where it belongs.
